Alternative Gift Market

"This church rocks."   "Thank you for letting me be a part of this wonderful event."
"I had no idea we could host something like this too."
These were some of the random comments heard on November 4 at the Alternative Gift Market. AGM gift giving is a real "alternative" to the commercialism of Christmas that surrounds us. An additional benefit is the education and awareness of the needs of others that we receive . . . as well as the outreach from each of the agencies involved. The total received by the involved agencies from this event was $13,161.

PW MARKET

On Saturday, October 6, The Presbyterian Women held their first Market in the ne McMillen Hall.
Various groups "rented" space and displayed their wares to raise funds for their own projects.

Sept. 8 Open House for McMillen Hall

The Open House for our community was deemed a worthwhile endeavor as members of the community and
friends of CPC members came to enjoy the potential of our new activities center, the McMillen Hall.

Guest were greeted as they came in and looked over the available displays

and discussed their content while little ones enjoyed the music

as the band played on and even the staffers enjoyed the music.

On Sunday July 1, CPC's chapel was dedicated to its pastor of 1943 to 1954.
James Comfort Smith help build the chapel as well as the sanctuary by forming adobe bricks with his own hands.
Jim met Kathryn and married her in 1944. Kathryn and her family were present for the dedication.
