About Worship

In worship, we celebrate God’s presence in the world and in our lives. We hear God’s word through the reading of Scripture. We respond to God’s redeeming actions in Jesus Christ by opening ourselves up to renewal and transformation. And, we offer ourselves to God as we are equipped for God’s service in the world.

About Us

What To Expect

What's the 10:00 a.m. service like?

Our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service includes various styles of music and congregational singing, as well as responsive liturgy (readings), prayers, Scripture reading, and a sermon. The service typically lasts about an hour.

Do you have communion?

Holy Communion (also known as the Lord’s Supper or the Eucharist) is usually served on the first Sunday of each month. All are invited to partake of the bread and wine or grape juice. A gluten free option is available. Click here to learn more about how and why Presbyterians observe the sacrament of Holy Communion.

Those who worship via livestream are invited to prepare their own elements using what they already have on hand.  If you do not have food or drink available to you, remember that communion does not need elements; you can “taste and see that God is good,” (Psalm 34:8) even if you do not partake. We trust God is present wherever the people of God may be.

Communion is also served on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday.

If you are not able to attend in-person worship due to health or mobility issues, Deacons or Elders can bring communion to you once a month. Contact the church office to request this service.

Where do I park?

Parking spaces for persons with disabilities are available in the semicircle in front of the Sanctuary. Additional free parking is available at the rear of the church campus, accessible from Marconi Ave. down Myrtle Lane (along the west side of the CPC campus) or via Presbyterian Lane (off of Robertson Ave.).

What about my kids?

Children of all ages are welcome in worship any time. Sunday nursery care for children age 4 and under is provided from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Room 102. There is also a nearby room for families needing a quiet place to change or rock your baby.

The pastor invites kids age 4-5th grade to sit on the steps at the front of the church for the “Time for Young People.” Afterwards, they may attend Sunday School (from about 10:15-11:00 a.m.) or return to their seats with their families to participate in the remainder of the worship service.

Youth in 6th grade through high school may attend Sunday School after the church service (11:00 a.m.) in the Upper Rooms.

We believe the presence of children and teens in worship is a gift to the church and a reminder that our church is alive and well.
